BASE USERS MEETINGS

Keeping people who use our service up to date with what is happening, both regionally and nationally with regards to 'Valuing People'. Gives us the chance to plan the way we want the service to run and develop and to take into account what we want to do. This works well.

WOMENS GROUP

The womens group was formed in January 1998. The women meet each month to discuss various subjects from a previously agreed agenda. The aims of the group are:

* To have a better understanding of our bodies.

* To seek professional input from dieticians, beauticians and community nurses in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

LIVING SKILLS GROUP

"Supporting individuals to be as independent in this area as they choose".

LIVING SKILLS SUPPORT PACKAGE FOR INDEPENDENT SKILLS. This support package has been developed for people who attend Winlaton Community Base to assist them to learn new skills linked to independent living. The pack is designed to be used flexibly to allow people develop at their own pace.
